As in previous years, Primerica will be a presenting sponsor for the signature event of the American Cancer Society’s yearly fundraising efforts – Gwinnett County’s Relay for Life of 2012. Duluth-headquartered Primerica, the nation’s biggest independent financial services marketing firm, will be donating $30,000 to the Relay, which attracts 10,000 people annually and raises more than $2 million to aid in the American Cancer Society’s fight to conquer cancer.
“Most people have personally been affected by cancer in some way, and our employees feel very strongly about supporting Relay for Life, “said Primerica Executive Vice President and head of Community and Foundation Relations Karen Fine Saltiel.
Primerica has been sponsoring other events which the American Cancer Society organizes including donations to the Patient Resource Navigator at Gwinnett Medical Center, the Hope Fashion Show, and more.
Ms. Saltiel explained that since 1997, Primerica has helped the ACS with over $966,000 in funding through grants, corporate funding and Primerica’s employee participation in the Relay for Life campaign.
